DesignMom is hosting an auction on Thursday for a member of the blog world and declaring it NIENIE Day. Stephanie (of NieNie fame) and her husband were severely injured in a private plane crash two weeks ago and have quite a fight ahead of them. All you need to do is glance few a few blog posts (like the back to school celebration) and realize what a wonderful person/mom/sister/etc. she is.

Her sweet sister has been sharing updates on their progress, but the blog community has come out in droves to support her as well. In fact, people have been having “balloon launches” (a family tradition) in their honor to express their hope for their recovery. There’s even a whole webpage set-up with a collection of ways to send your support. I love that someone who outwardly shared their love is receiving so much of it back…
