#reverb10 – day 1
December 1 One Word.
Encapsulate the year 2010 in one word. Explain why you’re choosing that word. Now, imagine it’s one year from today, what would you like the word to be that captures 2011 for you?
(Author: Gwen Bell)
My word for 2010: bewitched.
Throughout this entire year, I’ve been floating around under the power of a deep spell. Life has flown at me from every direction, but somehow I’ve managed to come out the other end in one piece. Baby M was fully present in 2010 before her grand debut in late February, and therefore this happy fog has been laid over my eyes for the entire year.
I’ve tried my best to recall how we made it through those first long months, and the only answer at this point is simply that we did. When we get early morning wake-up calls (like today at 5:20am), the rest of the day is a haze. And while it’s never been a bad haze, it’s still so difficult to realize where the last 9 months have disappeared to!
Therefore, my word for 2011: exuberant!
I want to be full and enthusiastically present next year in every aspect of life! At home, I want to put as much energy and time that I can into spending enjoyable moments with Mr. M, Baby M, and myself. At work, I want to look past imminent deadlines and get back to enjoying projects and the effort that is being presented. And most of all, I want to get away from the bewildering fog and really step back into the crazy light.

I love your words! And congrats on mommyhood. Me and my hubby are there yet, but we try to glean as much from others as we can :-)

I just started reading, yesterday! I love your words for both years. Exuberant should be used in my vocabulary more often.
