December 13 – Action
Prompt: When it comes to aspirations, it’s not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen. What’s your next step?
(Author: Scott Belsky)
I think I alluded to this in the day #2 prompt. Making space and time. It doesn’t need to be a lot of space or a long time, but I just need to clear things out of the way and provide room to make things happen.
I also have to come to terms with the fact that less things will happen now, because there are less “windows of opportunity” (oh yeah… public policy terminology popping up in the blog!) for things to happen within. And I think the amount of time will ebb and flow through life, like it always does, but that’s just what happens.
I need to keep a list of things I “want to do” and not a list of things that “must be done.” Then, when a slot of time appears, I have inspiration to work from and won’t have to spend time remembering what I wanted to do in the first place before the window shuts for awhile.
And I need to keep a crafting list in my craft room. So when I walk in there, I’m not reinventing the wheel, and it’s up to be to choose what I want to do and when I want to do it.
