why people buy family portrait sessions
In the age of abundant DSLRs, one sometimes forgets why anyone would spend lots of money for family portraits.
But then when you begin to realize just how hard it is to wrangle a 2 year old into smiling for the camera at the same time that someone pushes a shutter button, it becomes easy to imagine why hiring a photographer is such a luxury!
Then again… most of these shots from Easter are pretty priceless… so maybe there’s a lot of value in keeping the family photographic history pretty spontaneous!
Yeah… I think I’m more than ok with these pretty imperfect photos for now :)

I love love love this post! I’ve been trying to take more photos of us (the parents!) with Lyle and they never turn out “perfect” – but I think that is the point, life isn’t perfect! She may be making funny faces but she looks perfectly happy in your arms!
