the simple Valentine’s Day card for class
Much like Just By Living, I had great aspirations for a fun and crafty Valentine’s Day for Miss L at school this year. But as the date approached, and I realized that she needed 30 Valentine’s (instead of 12) … my ideas for a either
1) a crafty activity she could partake in to decorate cards
or
2) a creative gift to give that didn’t involve candy that was age appropriate for 2-3 year olds
fell flat.
So, as I do all the time when I need some out of the box awesome ideas, I asked Mr. M to give me a silly idea.
He said, “Let’s take a picture of Miss L hanging upside down and have her saying, ‘I’m head over heels for you!’”
“um… wouldn’t it be ‘heels over head’ if she’s hanging upside down?”
“I guess so. Sure. ‘Heels over head.’”
“OK. Done. You take the photo when she wakes up from her nap and I’ll make the card tonight.”
And, that’s what I did.
30 4×6 photos printed at Target and mounted onto 4×6 cardstock and DONE!
Happy Valentine’s day to you and yours… be it full of hearts and pink and red with craftiness abounding… or not!

That card is adorable! It’s even better as “heels over head.” I love when husband’s have spontaneous awesome ideas

Ha! It was totally a Valentine’s sweatshop atmosphere at our house last night as I had Little G scribbling all over multiple sheets of pink paper…your idea was way better :)
